Position Overview: Due to continued growth Qube Heavy Lift are looking for an Apprentice Heavy duty diesel mechanic/fitter to join our team based in Chinchilla.

As an Apprentice Heavy Duty Mechanic/Fitter at Qube Heavy Lift, you will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals and gain hands-on experience in maintaining and repairing heavy-duty machinery, cranes and transport equipment This apprenticeship will provide you with the skills and knowledge necessary to excel in your career as a Heavy-Duty Mechanic/fitter.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the inspection, maintenance, and repair of heavy-duty equipment, machinery cranes and Transport equipment.
• Perform routine service tasks such as oil changes, lubrication, and tire rotations.
• Diagnose mechanical issues and recommend appropriate repairs.
• Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment to identify and resolve mechanical problems.
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Participate in training sessions and workshops to enhance technical skills.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and project completion.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Must be local to Chinchilla
• Strong interest in mechanics and heavy-duty equipment.
• Willingness to learn and take direction from experienced mechanics.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
